Thank you for offering EUREKA as a resource at your school. To better prepare you and your students for college admissions testing, we have provided the following information for your use. Please feel free to make copies of the documents below to post in your office and/or to hand out to your student body.

2008 UC Admission Stats - This will give students an idea of the statistics that the UCs are looking for to admit a student. Feel free to post this data sheet in your office and/or hand out to your student body.

SAT Subject Requirements - This will help students learn which colleges are requiring Subject Tests and how many they need to have.

SAT vs. ACT - This will describe the differences in the two most popular college entrance exams.

SAT/ACT Score Conversion Chart - This will convert a SAT score to an ACT score and vice versa.

SAT/ACT One-Hour Diagnostic Test - This test will help students determine whether the SAT or the ACT is the right test for them.

When to Prep - This will help parents and students figure out when to start preparing for College Admissions Tests.

Educators Grant - Children of High School Educators receive a 33% discount on ANY EUREKA course.

Mock SAT - The EUREKA Mock SAT is a fundraiser for the school with students receiving their scores back 30 minutes after the test is done. All proceeds go directly to the school.

Writing Seminar - The EUREKA Writing Seminar offers students a chance to learn what the graders of the SAT essay are looking for. This FREE presentation can be offered during an English class or after school for interested students.

Mock ACT - The EUREKA Mock ACT is a chance for students to take the more curriculum-based alternative to the SAT without having to report their scores. Like the Mock SAT, this test is a fundraiser for the school with students receiving their scores back 30 minutes after the test is done.

ACT Science Seminar - The EUREKA ACT Science Seminar offers students a chance to learn proven techniques to raise their scores using actual ACT questions. This FREE presentation can be offered during or after school for interested students.

SAT/ACT Calendar - This calendar has all of the dates of the upcoming tests along with registration deadlines.

COLLEGE NIGHT PRESENTATIONS

Are you overwhelmed by the amount of information there is to impart to parents and students on College Night? Let EUREKA relieve your stress with our in-depth presentation on what parents and students need to know about college entrance exams. Our college presentations are entertaining and informative, covering the following topics:

When should you take the SAT? is an article written by EUREKA CEO, Jason Moreno, that was published in the May/June 2006 edition of Next Step College Magazine to outline when students should prepare for and take the SAT.

College Admissions and the SAT: A Personal Perspective is an article written by Richard Atkinson (former president of the UC System) about the changes to the SAT.

How I Gamed the SAT is an editorial from the L.A. Times discussing the grading (or lack thereof) of the Essay portion of the SAT.

Your SAT Essay Outline is an article written by EUREKA CEO, Jason Moreno, that was published in the March/April 2005 edition of Next Step College Magazine to teach students how to properly prepare for the SAT Essay.

SAT Essay Rewards Length and Ignores Errors is written by a director of undergraduate writing at MIT detailing the problems with the Essay on the SAT.

UC Quits National Merit Program describes why the UCs will not offer National Merit Scholarships starting with the fall 2006 freshman class.

SATurday School is a humorous article from a newspaper writer who came back at age 31 to take the SAT again. He sat for the EUREKA Mock SAT and learned that he may have lost a bit of knowledge since high school.

SAT mistake lowered scores for 4,000 students discussed the College Board's mistake that affected students across the country.
