Since 2002, EUREKA has been helping students expect success on standardized exams. We founded the company with the unshakeable belief that the best way to help students is to provide them with charismatic, expert tutors and an approachable, strategy based curriculum in the comfort of their home. EUREKA also gives free after school seminars and donates free one-on-one tutoring programs to local schools in an effort to help students benefit from resources they may otherwise not have access to. Additionally, EUREKA helps counseling departments and parent associations by creating and administering a wide array of educational fundraisers. While we are constantly working to improve what is already the best test prep company in California, we will never get away from hiring the best possible people and giving them the most effective curriculum.

The combination of scoring well on the SAT, earning a 4.6 GPA, and being named Valedictorian allowed Jason to attend his first-choice school, UCLA. While there, he became a tutor and discovered that teaching students at their pace, based on a curriculum generated specifically for their personal needs, was much more effective than traditional classroom practices. In 1994, after realizing these principles could be applied to help better prepare students for taking standardized tests like the SAT, Jason started teaching SAT Review at the one-on-one level. After a successful career as a C.P.A. and entrepreneur in hi-tech start ups, Jason founded EUREKA as an alternative to the crowded classrooms many students deal with while preparing for the SAT. In 2005, Jason was diagnosed with a rare cancer. As he did with everything else in his life, Jason worked hard to overcome the disease. However after a three year struggle, Jason passed away in December of 2008. He is missed by family, friends, and colleagues.

With a degree in education from UCLA, Jennifer has picked up the reins at EUREKA and continues to uphold the standard of excellence in test prep that was set by her husband Jason. Jennifer provides the continuity needed to insure that EUREKA's one-on-one, in-home prep, expert tutors, and demanding proprietary materials keep students on track to raise scores and get into the college of their dreams.
Ryan began his career with EUREKA as a verbal tutor and trained right in Jason's dining room shortly after EUREKA's inception. A few years later he successfully expanded EUREKA to the Bay Area because he had personally seen and believed in the impact EUREKA's curriculum had on the students he had worked with. Ryan is now one of the most requested speakers in the field of test prep and presents dozens of times each year throughout the state of California. Knowledgeable and charismatic, he communicates effectively with both students and parents. He is an active member of WACAC (Western Association for College Admission Counseling) and its Speakers Bureau. Ryan guides EUREKA toward the goals that Jason set while providing his own vision on how to get there.
